  Great Stay!

  General information: We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Clarendon which is central to everything! The rooms were clean. The hotel offered help with anything you needed. It is the oldest hotel in Quebec City so there is a lot of history in this historical hotel. When we come back to Quebec, I will certainly stay here again!
  Location and surroundings: PERFECT!!!
  Service: Wonderful.
  Dining: Did not eat here
  Room: Clean and beds were extremely comfortable. A little too much furniture cramped into the room.
  Useful tips: Go on the River Tour, it was great!

  The staff at Hotel Clarendon was extremely nice and professional. The location was convenient. My room looked out on a street across from a church and so was insulated from street noise. Coffee service in the room is nice.

  The room I was assigned (on the third floor) was disappointing. The nicest word to describe it would be tired. Everything was a bit old and had been chosen to hide dirt, with the result that nothing looked clean. The room was also quite musty. The first thing I did was open the window and even leaving it open for several days did not help the pervasive smell. Disappointing because this would be so easy to fix. Get rid of about half of the furniture in the room, match the furniture colors and fabrics and select new finishes to look clean (not to hide dirt) and air out the rooms regularly and it would have been a great room. I cannot remember having this kind of reaction to a room in a hotel before. It was actually a bit shocking.

  The staff was extremely attentive. The location could not have been better -- literally, in walking distance to everything you would want to see. The room was very clean and comfortable. They had a bar w/live jazz on the weekend which was a nice option.

  It was only for one sleep so could not enjoy the most from the hotel due to time. What we had was comfortable. Liked the location in old Quebec.

  Front desk staff - so friendly, courteous and welcoming.

  The 'fake' plants beside the elevator - old and dusty. They must go!

  We enjoyed the ambience of the hotel. The restaurant was excellent.

  We didn't feel that parking should be extra over and above the cost of the hotel room.

  The location is great---the breakfast is fantastic---the staff are very attentive

  We were not satisfied with our rooml----the bed was very uncomfortable,the room was small. During the early hours of the morning there were people shouting in the hallway [outside our room]---not a good experience. We were celebrating our Golden Wedding anniversary & chose your hotel by reading about it on the Internet.It was a mistake on our part. Believe me ,we will not recommend you to our friends[sadly] With regret Gilles & Isabel Belley

  Nothing to complaing. Everything was great. But perhaps the vanity in the bathroom could be bigger so that you can lay out your toiletries

  Location could not have been better with access to old Quebec City and it's shops and cafes. The staff was super friendly and easy in french or english.

  The room was a bit tired especially the bathroom and the plumbing was noisy (old building).

  the hotel is the oldest in the city and it does show here and there - could use a bit of paint and updating of the rooms. also the walls are a bit too thin for privacy

  The staff was courteius and nice. Th bed was comfortable anfd the location in Old Quebec was superb!!

  The tv remote control did not always function.
